Brothers Make
United Kingdom
Приєднався 29 сер 2017
Oh, hey! We're Matt and Jonny of Brothers Make and we design and make projects out of a wide range of materials, with a focus on sustainability. We hope that we can inspire some of you to give making a go!
We have a workshop on the South coast of the UK, where we experiment and play around with new ideas for videos and products. We sell a range of different products, all made from 100% recycled plastic that we source from local schools and beach cleans. Some of the videos on our channel are about the products that we sell on our website. If you want to check it out, just head on over to www.brothersmake.com
We also have the capacity for wholesale or custom orders. If you're interested in bringing your product idea to life using recycled plastic, then send us an email - we'd love to help! For any business or video sponsorship related inquiries, please email us at hello@brothersmake.com.
See you in the next video! 🤙🏽

We recently spent some time in The Gambia where we helped set up a brand-new recycling workspace with shredding, injection moulding and extrusion capabilities. Part of our job was to find out how the citizens of The Gambia deal with their plastic waste and provide some solutions so that it can be turned into new and meaningful items instead of damaging the environment.

FAQ:
➡️ Be sure to watch our recycled plastic safety video first if you fancy giving this a go! ua-cam.com/video/EZekQTq0OqA/v-deo.html
➡️ We don't buy any of our plastic. It all comes from collection and donations. We have a video all about it: ua-cam.com/video/q1EHWjHxSoU/v-deo.html
➡️ Our workshop is powered 100% by renewable energy. We don’t use any energy from fossil fuels.

I love it!!!
I can't believe how ridiculous this is lol
They will still all eventually end up in a landfill
That's fantastic! Where did you get your injection machine?
$50,000 worth of equipment to make .05 cents worth of buttons🤔. Now I see why dollar stores are so popular.
where can I buy the tool?
😂😂😂😂😂😂
How many kg/cm2 did you requied?
Nice Results! How is the seal completly thight between the extruder and the mold while pressure is applied?
I have an idea: shred these bags really thin, like, 0.1mm sized particles Then remelt it into shiny, metal-infused filament for 3d printing From what I googled, their plastics is layers of polypropylene and polyethylene, both of which melt at low enough temps to be melted by 3d printer hotend (even if it's hard for most of them to reach 260 degrees to melt polyethylene, in even mixture polypropylene's 160 degrees should offset the overall temps to a lower side). However, some resaults say there is... BOPP? or even PLA? Maybe heated centrifuge will help separate these plastics, or chemical repolymerization? Overall, someone SHOULD dig into this concept, maybe something WILL come out of it.
I tried to recycle hdpe once, i can totally smell this video 😂
какое-то бесполезное дрочево
am I seen that too much waste of product?
This is why buttons cost $100 each.
Remember to breathe clean air. Heating plastic releases chemical.
how can get this equipments to Nigeria
That cool
When you use plastic chopping boards, you will find that they become worn and even pitted over time. Where is the plastic that was once in that cavity now? Yes, congratulations. You ate them...
Or you could buy them from ths store made industrially more economically and at far better quality.
Thanks for the video but that didn't look like a bunch of plastic. Now there is a bunch of plastic trash everywhere all over this planet we call earth.
Wow👍
Wow😂😅😅😂😂😅
Tat is a really great idea! What is the material called?
在中国,梳子是不用花钱的···· 您这个模具就不便宜
how strong?
umbrellas?
Надолго ли хватит резьбы болтов и посадочных отверстий? Сколько стоит изготовление пуансона и матрицы? Насколько это вообще все рентабельно?
За какво са ти тези боклуци?
Love how everyone on UA-cam just has precise machining elements in their garage
Maybe do a vacuum form mold of the whole pallet instead of sticks and assembly. Welding is an option for plastic too. Non wood pallets have been around but they have a simplified and unique look to them because if you're not playing with wood you don't have to play by woods rules. Try that other shape pallet as one piece. If the future of architecture is 3d printing, then sheets, boards, and rolls of building supplies used for stick built homes aren't needed in print home applications. If the customer wants a house that looks like a traditional, stick built home then it can be printed to look the part. Pallet production is a BANG BANG GO GO !!! situation. A stronger, longer lasting pallet fetches a better price but you still have to BANG BANG GO GO !!! If you do the other shaped pallet try not to make it as ugly as this one. Warehouses are mostly, exclusively, man's domain. Give the pallet a manly look to match.
use the pendant as a flower backsplash for shower or kitchen maybe even lighting
use that style of coaster as backsplash for kitchen or tile in bathroom how neat it wood b and none the same but all cool
Have you considered making a A frame home they are really modern now it wood b really cool
cool
Awesome, now you just have to figure out to make 5000 a minute to make it commercially viable.
It’s already commercially viable 👍🏽
The future
Its important to say what plastic types r being used, included what ratio/weight/temperature blend used all applications for the final products made.
You can make fountain pens out them too.... Only just need the nib unit... They will look great... Kinda reminds me of celluloid or ebonite. Pattern..
@RichardSalesOfficial
Yeah combos for polar bear…
Why not buy a bit of metal tubing and put it in your mould with the molten plastic? Much easier.
Totally inefficient way to produce combs that's why it "costs so much" when they say "recycled combs".
"Why aren’t all combs made this way" Because most people cant afford this machinery.
Why were only one of you heating the joints at a 45°? The whole point of a "mitered" corner is to increase the surface area of the bond.
Wow
The mold is more expensive than expected
